what i've been up to: a sneak peek

Did a shoot with the lovebonito crew a few days back and i had so much fun! haha, yes you might notice a few familiar accessories, i just thought they were perfect for the corporate lookbook so a brought all my junk over ;)

This was a much "larger" lookbook of six different looks in six different spots and this is just a sneak peek haha. the next day i was off for another shoot and i'm dying to talk about it, cause we had a lot of laughs in between take but i have to wait until the "closing date closes". Till then, have a great weekend and stay tuned for the lookbook & more street style shots!

around and back again

woah, sorry for the long absence! it's actually 8 days since my last post, yeeps! I do miss updating the site with stylish people and lookbooks. I've been so overwhelmed recently so i'm trying to reduce my workload and i was trying to celebrate my birthday proper too. haha

well this is something that I worked on a few days back, a sneak peek to Love Bonito's spring lookbook.  so many things could have gone wrong, for one it was raining at the office - but God was gracious and I prayed for it to not rain. not only was there no rain but the ground was dry, the dark clouds got chased away and the beautiful sunlight streamed in - we literally chased the sun all the way until the moon appeared! haha

second, we missed out the big luggage full of clothes for the different looks. thank God, the models were already dressed in first look so we could carry on with the photoshoot while fred rushed back to the office to get the red luggage.

and finally the security guard...hm, the first uncle was very nice and i think he was glad that there's something exciting happening around where he worked. but the second security guard was a bit jumpy and wanted us to stop. still, thank God we managed to pull it off. it was nothing short of a miracle, seriously! haha so many things could have gone seriously wrong.

I am such an outdoor-sy-natural-light-loving photographer that i actually get depressed from shooting too much studio shots (at first i didn't know why i was so grumpy! haha but after this shoot, i knew why...) Well i shot with Vineeta, who is a first-time model (amazing? haha), well i hope you enjoy this lookbook.

nicolethen boutique sneak preview

ah another week has passed! i know my past few posts have no text, haha so sorry guys but last week was a mad rush! literally everyday i had one shoot on and it was quite insane. i even suffered migraine from the stress. but i'm cool ;) No worries! I enjoyed it though. But because of the shoots for my client, i didn't have time to do one lookbook for the boutique so i just took francesca downstairs and then there was this gorgeous ray of sun! incredibly beautiful isn't it? (light flares not photoshopped in haha). i took some with my film camera too (oh and did i mention the first roll of film came out horrid? haha under exposed, a little blur at night and faces cut off. lol)

so here's a sneak peek for the upcoming nicolethen boutique collection! i'm quite excited because i have lovely help coming to join the team at nicolethen studios and i'll introduce her to you soon ;) the collection this week is amazing (whenever i feel a slight heartbreak about selling these pieces it means it's good, haha) and we're going to introduce a new postage system that will allow you to get your pieces faster! plus with my new team-member, we'll be opening the thrift store again for new sellers & loads of goodies for you guys too. new collection projected to launch later tonight, so stay tuned ;)
