Downed my coffee and slipped on a pair of boots and I was off to attend the press conference for Asia Fashion Exchange. Asia Fashion Exchange basically consists of 4 main pillar events:
- Audi Fashion Festival Singapore: 16-20 May 2012
- BLUEPRINT: 17-20 May 2012
- Asia Fashion Summit: 15-17 May 2012
- Audi Star Creation: 14 May 2012
My favourites are definitely Blueprint and Star Creation! Even though the set up for Blueprint is definitely simpler since it's really a tradeshow event for buyers, stylist, journalists, etc (hence no i'm-not-in-the-front-row drama) but it's exciting because you get to see all the amazing new talent and emerging designers show case their stuff. Pieces that allow you to enjoy fashion without the fluff and just really appreciate it in it's humblest form.
And i must say, the Star Creation show blew me away. It was the show that I remembered the best! (well, ok...i didn't attend that many shows last AFF haha) So i look forward to this year's one and hope it doesn't disappoint ;)
