lasalle student show

well the show started off really funny. there were these two "cleaners" (not sure how legit they were) and they stood on the runway for a really long time with their trolley of rubbish and brooms and mops. it seemed like they really wanted that one-minute of fame on the runway. the guys next to me were having a tremendously good time laughing and taking picture of the girl apparently "posing" with her brooms. haha but i think it turned out that it was part of the show...so haha guess it kind of looses that funny factor.

the student show

i've never been to an art school and doubt i'll be entering one anytime soon, it was an interesting experience being immersed for a day in the life of a student at lasalle as a model. and here's the clause -- i know myself. i'm not a model. period. haha so there's alot of filtering of pictures ;) especially for the next post to come, cause for these pictures, they were snapped with my iphone...so very little pictures of me actually in them haha

swapping places

between my photography stuff and running nicolethen boutique, i find myself attending less and less events and i haven't been on the streets in what seems like months! so this space is a little bare. i have lots of pictures of random stuff (like the food i eat, places i go, etc) but not so many fashion related pictures and well...at the moment, this is the only one...haha...and it's not even taken by me (cos i'm in it!)

usually i'm behind the lens, but for that one day, i swapped places and became a model for rachel. of course, i couldn't resist snapping away on my iphone!

Street Style: Melissa the Fine Artist

the thing about street style is that you never know what or who you're going to find or just simply bump into. I was walking down the streets finding people who wore outerwear with style for an assignment (worried that i couldn't find anyone because one moment it's chilly and cold and the next it's like singapore's baking one giant christmas cake) then melissa walked past me. her canvas bag, her whole self was just intriguing. she made me wonder, where she's going, what's in that bag and what a cool canvas tote!

It turns out that Melissa, a fine arts student at lasalle, was on her way to sell her art work to an interested buyer! Oh I was so curious about that large package wrapped in cloth and how much i wanted to see it. But i didn't want to be a bother. Although she is giving you a sneak peek of her art work by presenting herself.
